Welcome to Apollo Chapter 1137.
Chapter 1137 was organized in 1969 with about 18 Charter members. Our charter was approved in 1970. Since that small beginning the membership has grown to more than 350 members. Chapter 1137 is named Apollo after the space program by the same name. We serve a large area in cenral Florida, primarily Brevard County and have members from Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Cocoa, Sattelite Beach, and Melbourne.
Chapter meetings are currently being held at the Piccadilly Cafeteria on Merritt Island.. We meet at 11:45 AM the 2nd Monday except in July and August.
November Meting
The November program will be a presentation given by Don Stewart, Florida Federation President. I understand that he is a very dynamic speaker. Chapter 609 has been invited to attend this meeting as well as other chapters. Please attend this meeting, as we would like to have a large turnout for him.
Mark your calenders for December 8, 2008 for our Christmas party.
OUR Christmas party will be held at the Olive Garden, SR520 Merritt Island at 6:00 P. M. We are also collecting toys for "Children of Brevard". The toys should be new in their original wrappings. No need to Christmas wrap them.
We look forward to a fairly large turnout. All current employees are urged to attend this function. Hope to see you there.
